I was inspired to write a piece that would capture the moment where your actions speak louder than your words. You're quietly confident that the results of your hard work will show what always has been present.

"As the autumn leaves fell from the tops of the trees, the very last of the season, I couldn't help but to remember my dearest friend. We have known each other since early childhood. I don't remember not knowing them. However, they moved far away almost nine years ago now. As I stared up at the falling leaves, memories of us raking up the leaves and then playing in the piles resurfaced. Tears sprang to my eyes unbidden. 'Do you still remember me?' This was a pretty fun film to score for. I had initially thought to orchestrate this piece but I opted instead to use the LAB's instruments and Originals Media Toolkit Piano. I decided upon this when I realised that I had all the LABS instruments to date but had never composed with them. So, I set myself the task and wrote away. I initially improvised the piano part on Logic, took it to Sibelius and mapped it out to the video, and then scored it in Logic again. I enjoyed the results and I hope you do too!
